Tripwire has been kind enough to give us frequent reprieves in the form of weekend events, usually coinciding with major updates. Multipliers speed things up considerably. If you find yourself with some downtime during a wave, consider pursuing these objectives and watch your level soar. Every perk has different objectives, and some don't involve damage at all. Commando gains extra experience by killing Stalkers, a Zed that they directly counter with the “Call Out” ability. These bonuses are listed as “XP Objectives” in the perk menu. These perks wreak havoc on the Zed masses, assuming your squad mates aren't attempting the same. These two archetypes fill specialist roles, the former making great gains without triple digit eliminations. In cases like this, it helps to target perks that don't require as many Zed kills, like Field Medic or Sharpshooter. Some matches may just have you taking a backseat while a teammate wades into the fire. In every cooperative game, someone gobbles up most of the glory.
